Christine Smith

PRESS RELEASE - March 16, 2007

Christine Smith Attended Oregon LP Convention

Libertarian candidate for president Christine Smith attended the Oregon Libertarian Party Convention, March 9-10, 2007.

The event provided Smith an opportunity to deliver a 15-minute speech during lunch and participate in a candidate forum/question & answer session with questions presented by LPO Chair Adam Mayer on behalf of the audience.

"It was a positive experience in which I gained insight which will make me an even stronger candidate during the campaign," said Smith, "Every LP convention I attend makes me stronger because of the Libertarians I meet."

"Oregon Libertarians gave me valuable feedback, suggestions, and recognition for the strong principled platform of liberty I present.  Every Libertarian who spoke with me made me feel welcome.  I particularly appreciated the forum since excellent questions were asked allowing me to share my proposals on many issues, and I appreciated the numerous conversations I had during the Friday evening social gathering and the Saturday night dinner," she said.

While in attendance, Smith was interviewed for a New York City television news program.

Smith will next be attending the New Mexico LP Convention and the California LP Convention both in April 2007.  (Previously, she attended the San Diego LP Convention in February 2007.)
